Dragon Medical
Overview
Dragon Medical speech recognition software is a powerful productivity tool that
enables medical professionals to work faster and more efficiently. Speak,
and your words appear on screen and in electronic medical records, patient
notes, and referral letters.
Users reduce overhead,
overtime, and stress by dictating patient notes and documents directly into
a PC, Pocket PC or hand-held recorder (purchased separately) and streamlining their
workflow using speech.
Dictate letters, reports, and other
documents; enter data; fill-in forms; send e-mail; and work on the Web-all
by voice! Perform complex tasks on your computer with a spoken word or
phrase, customize your vocabulary and commands to match your workflow,
listen to incoming e-mail and documents read aloud, and much more.
Create your own documents on the spot or send your recorded dictation to be
transcribed elsewhere.
Dragon Medical includes support for
Bluetooth and other specialty microphones and allows dictation directly into a PC, Pocket PC, or
an approved
Recorder for personal or third-party
transcription. It even includes administrative tools for distributed
network deployments and support for Citrix terminals.

world-class vocabularies, Dragon Medical users can easily customize these
vocabularies on-the-fly or by allowing Dragon to import a list or analyze
your documents to find/add
new words, specialized terms, acronyms, and proper names.
Users can use Dragon's vocabulary optimization routines to instantly
analyze sentence structure and word use frequency in previously created
documents. Dragon
then automatically adjusts the recognition engine to match the user's
unique writing patterns, thereby further increasing accuracy.

Who creates the commands? Dragon Medical includes thousands of commands for commonly used tasks
and provides the additional ability to create custom voice
commands. The dictator,
an organizational staff person, or your Certified Partner, IMAGE Management, can
create your macros. Also, macros can be exported and shared with other
